Event Assistant Vacancy

We’re growing our events team this year! We are looking for enthusiastic, bright-minded and ambitious individuals to join our events team supporting our series of street food festival events across the UK this Summer. Each event is at least three days where accommodation, travel and street food meals are included.

Candidates must possess some clear qualities: pay careful attention to detail, must be prepared to work on several tasks at once, and will be required to take on all aspects of the role: from the more exciting aspects through to the more mundane, routine tasks.

As an event assistant you will be required to arrange accommodation, transportation, equipment hire and organise supplier and client logistics as well as many other aspects of event planning. Events assistants will largely perform ad hoc duties as required by their managers and supervisors. Assistants will be required to organise and manage volunteers so as to ensure a smooth running of a larger event, while planners take care of the more important duties related to PR and financial management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in all pre- event preparation, arrangement and booking of third party suppliers
  • Respond to events enquiries (by phone, email and letter)
  • Assist with communications to events participants, supporters and suppliers
  • Assist in the promotion of Street Food Warehouse events, making use of internet, social media, and printed materials and banners
  • Record and report on the success of promotional activity
  • Assist with the lead-in events such as promotional activity and launch events
  • On the day provide support as required by the event co coordinator
  • Compile feedback from event participants and analyse responses

Previous event and bar experience preferred.

Rate of pay based on experience.
