June Roundup

June 28, 2018

Welcome to our new monthly instalment on the River & Bear blog that is the ‘Roundups’. Hitting it off with the heatwave month that was June…

We welcomed a roar-some client

Jurassic Kingdom have chosen River & Bear to handle the press and media for their Cardiff festival. Within two hours of our press release going out, we hit the headlines, namely here with almost 20,000 shares.

From the 11th-27th of August, Cardiff’s Bute Park will be turned into a prehistoric world. Early bird tickets with a 20% discount can be bought during June and July here if you quote EARLYBIRD at the checkout.

Visitors will find the dinosaurs hiding all around the park, giving children a chance to experience the sheer size and scale of the animals. The creatures come to life with their tails, eyes, heads and arms moving and raging roars. We can’t wait to attend!

Pembrokeshire Street Food Festival

Our sister company, Street Food Warehouse, has now executed four out of six of their festivals. This month, they saw Pembrokeshire Street Food Festival in Tenby go off and despite the showers in the early hours of the event, it turned out to be a winner. Seeing  over 15,000 people through the site, traders sold out and the queue at Pop Up Bar Hire was never ending, a perfect weekend. Plus the seagulls got the memo and stayed away.

Our printing & distribution is on fire

Not just because of the heatwave. We have been printing and distributing for old and new clients, and creating bespoke routes for our lovely flyerers to take; either door-to-door or shop drops. Goji Hair have appointed a new barber and were looking to do some promotion, so we put together a printing and distribution package to make some noise about their new member of staff.

We say hey to a new member of the team

We sadly said goodbye to our Brand Manager Huw, but replaced him with a new smiley face. Ryan Farrell joins us as Pop Up Bar Hire Brand Manager. He will be heading up all bookings and manage the bars whereabouts. Good luck Ryan!

The Alchemist Launches in Cardiff

We have been appointed by bar and restaurant, The Alchemist– an underground speakeasy-style bar, to support the launch of their Cardiff-based cocktail bar and restaurant. Staff from our very own Pop Up Bar Hire will on their Alchemistress mobile bar and we are managing the VIP guest list in the run up and on the night of the Launch Party.

Also, we are making sure the regional business press knows all about the launch, building dialogue with key journalists and translating their copy to Welsh (menus/advertising). There’s nothing we can’t do!
